From larger tape die cuts to flexible materials like silicone and other solid, foam and sponge materials, learn what our press can do for you.
Overhead die cutting is a versatile converting process. Viadon primarily utilizes this method for tape materials exceeding our other equipment’s capacity, plus elastomer solids, foams, and sponges suited for this approach.
Our 25-ton rated press is designed primarily for large tape die cuts and elastomer products. The process involves placing material on a cutting pad, positioning the die atop it (supported by foam pads), then operating the overhead anvil press downward to force the blade through the material, leaving an exact shape every time.
Note: Thicker materials may not always cut cleanly due to compression during pressing.
Our primary focus is on large tape circles, custom shapes, and silicone foams/sponges for aerospace parts and gasket applications.
